As a wedding florist, I often have the privilege of playing a small yet beautiful role in a couple's big day. I’m often gone before the real festivities begin, leaving my art behind for the guests to enjoy. But Hang and Jaison's reception at The Red Earth Venue felt like a whole new experience for this multifaceted business. Not only did my team create breathtaking florals, I also created all the hand-written signage and helped connect our amazing couple with the some of the best local vendors in town. They even hired my band, Toni and the Enablers, to play at their reception.

A Whirlwind of Planning and Creativity

When Hang approached me with her vision for the party, I knew it was going to be something special. They had eloped in Canada a few months prior and wanted to throw an unforgettable party in Moab for their friends and family. The Red Earth Venue was the perfect setting, with its stunning natural surroundings and classic charm.

One of the standout features of the reception was the dramatic floral installation that hung down from the ceiling, running the length of the room. Creating this masterpiece was both challenging and exhilarating. We used a mix of fall-inspired blooms—including Moab roses and locally grown lisianthus and dahlias— as well as drippy, drapey elements like orchids and trailing amaranth to create drama and dimension. The composition came together, crafting an enchanting canopy that added a magical touch to the venue.

Hang also wanted all of the personal flowers to include our signature succulents—her bouquet, Jaison’s pocket garden, and wearables for the wedding party.

In addition to the hanging installation, personals, and this gorgeous cake meadow, I also had the pleasure of designing the hand-written signage—one that welcomed guests into the lounge of the Stargazer Social Club, and one that presented the gorgeous desserts that our bride made from scratch.

Stargazer Social Club: The Perfect Bridal Suite and Lounge

Hang and her two bridesmaids got ready in the Stargazer Social Club, whose lounge are can be converted into a bridal suite. Stargazer is a vintage school bus transformed into a chic mobile bar and lounge, designed to look like a speakeasy. It was the perfect space for them to relax and enjoy some pre-reception moments together and take some amazing photos with Matt Davidson Photography. Later, the bus served as a unique and cozy bar and lounge area for guests, adding a fun and nostalgic twist to the festivities.

A Night of Music and Dancing

As the lead singer and guitar player for Toni and the Enablers, I had the honor of providing the evening's entertainment. Our five-piece band played a mix of classic hits and contemporary favorites, ensuring there was something for everyone. From the first note to the last, the dance floor was packed. There's nothing quite like seeing a crowd of happy faces dancing and singing along to your music. We ha some surprise guests that graced the dance floor to really kick up the party vibes. It was a night to remember, filled with joyful energy and celebration.

Heartfelt Toasts and a Sparkler Send-Off

The toasts were incredibly personal and heartfelt, making it clear how much love and support Hang and Jaison have from their friends and family. This couple is clearly surrounded by an amazing community. The evening culminated in a magical send-off, with guests forming a tunnel of sparklers as Hang and Jaison made their exit. It was the perfect end to a perfect day.

A Memorable Celebration

Reflecting on Hang and Jaison's wedding reception, I am filled with gratitude for having been a part of such a special occasion. From the flowers and signage to the music and the laughter, every element came together beautifully. This celebration was a true testament to love, creativity, and the joy of coming together with loved ones.

To Hang and Jaison, thank you for trusting me and my team with so many aspects of your special day. It was an honor to help bring your vision to life and getting the uncommon opportunity as a florist to hang around as part of the band and see everyone enjoying the result. Here's to a lifetime of love, happiness, and beautiful memories.
