Each event I work on tells a unique love story. Ally and Nathan's wedding was no exception, and it was an absolute delight to get to know the two of them and contribute floral decor and personal flowers for their incredible celebration.

Held in the picturesque landscape outside the town of Monticello, UT, this event was a beautiful blend of personal touches, vibrant florals, and heartfelt moments.

Setting the Scene: A Perfect Blend of Summer and Fall

The wedding took place in the first week of September 2023, marking the transition from summer to fall. The ceremony was held in a charming Catholic church in town, and the reception took place at Ally's family's stunning estate. The bride envisioned a floral theme that captured the essence of summer with subtle hints of fall, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

To bring this vision to life, we used a palette of white, gold, and tangerine, accented with small touches of fall. We incorporated copper beech into some of the larger arrangements, adding a hint of autumnal warmth.

The floral ingredients included a mix of:

Feverfew

Ranunculus

Craspedia

Allium

Amaranth

Dahlias

Marigolds

Garden roses

Standard roses

Daisies

Lisianthus

Zinnias

Cress

Ruscus

Each arrangement was designed to reflect the beauty of the season and the festive atmosphere of the party. Personal flowers were heavy on white while the larger accent pieces and bud vases on the tables were a collection of the warmer side of the palette with pops of white. The bride and groom collected many of the clear and blue vessels that held the flowers, which I picked up from them to style in advance, and we supplemented those with additional bud vases from our rental inventory.

Culinary Delights and Colorful Details

The reception was not only a feast for the taste buds but also for the eyes. Forage Sisters, a talented team of Colorado-based caterers, prepared a delicious meal that perfectly complemented the vibrant floral arrangements, even including edible flowers. They also styled the tables with colorful glassware that added an extra design element, harmonizing beautifully with the bud vases and flowers.

As I reflect on Ally and David's wedding, I am filled with gratitude for having been part of such a special occasion. The combination of summer and fall elements, the personal touches, and the heartfelt conversations made this wedding truly memorable. The couple's love for each other and their shared passions were evident in every detail, creating a celebration that was both unique and deeply meaningful.

To Ally and David, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day. It was an honor to help bring your vision to life and to witness the love and joy that surrounded you. Here's to a lifetime of happiness, love, and wonderful memories.
